August Boxy Charm Review

This months Boxy Charm box theme was “Beach Please”. If your not familiar with Boxy Charm it’s a monthly subscription box for $21 a month. Each month you receive 5 full size beauty items. I’ve tried a lot of beauty subscription boxes, and this one is by far my favorite. You receive good product from brands you’ve actually heard of before. This months box came with $105.95 worth of product, and I only paid $21! I also love that these boxes come with a postcard that tells you what the product is, where to buy it, and how to use it. If your a beginner in makeup you’ll appreciate this little card.

Lets get into the products I received and how I liked them. The first product I tried was the Rainforest of the Sea: volume II palette.

Like any other Tarte palette it swatches nice and blends like a dream. There are 5 mattes and 3 satins.

If you already own the Tartelette in Bloom palette you can probably pass on this one. They’re both neutral palettes and have similar colors.

The next product I received was the PUR Cosmetics Pro Eyelashes. These were easy to apply and lightweight due to the band being made of silk. They were soft and wispy. I’m not one to wear false lashes, but this was a nice brand to try.  They are reusable, and safe for contact wearers.

We also got a #GRLPWR liquid lipstick from The Beauty Crop in the shade Date Night. This is a really pretty shade for fall since it’s a little on the darker side. I have to say though this formula was really nice. It was opaque and didn’t feel like I even had anything on. It felt more like a stain not drying. So this was a win in my books.

One of the final products we got was a waterproof gel liner by Bellapierre in the shade Ebony. This liner glided on nice and was matte, but wasn’t as dark as I would like it to be. I normally only wear black pencil liners when I tight-line. This liner didn’t even last an hour on my tight-line, and I don’t even have watery eyes. So this was a pass.

The last product we got in this months box was the Moda Pro brush trio from Royal & Langnickel. The trio consisted of a powder brush, crease brush, and contour/highlight brush. These brushes were nice, not the softest brushes I’ve ever felt, but got the job done. My favorite was the contour/highlight brush. This was really nice to apply cream contour. It fit perfectly over and under the check bone.

Below are some pictures of the look I created with these products. defiantly able to create a natural glam look with these items.
